Messy Church – an update

Messy Church ⛪

On Sunday 11th March we had our first Messy Church at Limes farm hall

We started with lots of crafts for people to do, fizzing heart prayers, construction crosses, Easter Wreaths, plastic egg planters and edible Easter gardens. Over 40 people attended and great fun was had making all the crafts. The edible Easter gardens (I didn’t get one 😥) proved very popular and I don’t think one made it out of the hall intact.

Then we had a song and a short talk by Ben about why Easter is so important to the Christian faith. Then we had a short time of prayer then a song to finish. Food was eaten, drinks drunk and conversation buzzed as we ended the afternoon on a high. A great time was had by all and although tiring it was a blessing to be involved in a new and exciting outreach into the local community.

God Bless
